Melvin Moose Day fun for all ages


      People of all ages enjoyed the annual Melvin Moose Day Saturday with jousting, tractor and ATV pulls, a garden tour, parade, pancake breakfast and much more.
      The National Guard provided a jousting tournament at which Todd Helmers and Devon Ten Kley enjoyed the challenge.

LOSST informational meetings coming in July


      During Tuesday's meeting, the county board of supervisors voted to table a proposal to vacate a portion of Polk Avenue between 120th St. and Highway 60. A four-to-five acre area has become very wet since the construction of the by-pass and has apparently covered up farm field tile outlets on the west side of Highway 60.
